Description of the webcam Bald Eagle at Cape Fraser Point

Live PTZ webcam is installed at the bald eagle nest at Cape Fraser Point, Santa Cruz Island off the west coast of California, USA. The camera shows the life of birds of prey in real time and allows you to observe from a close distance how the eagles incubate eggs and raise chicks.
The live camera is located about 20 meters from the bald eagle’s nest. This nest was discovered in 2017 after a previous nest of eagles fell from a tree.
A female (A-46) hatched in a nest near Pelican Harbor on Santa Cruz Island in 2006. This is the first known case of a bald eagle hatching in the Channel Islands since 1950.
The male (A-64) is the brother of the female (A-46) and hatched near Pelican Harbor in 2008. He was knocked out of the nest by a young eagle and got a crack in his beak. After finishing treatment at the veterinary clinic, he was released back to Santa Cruz Island.
This pair of bald eagles has been brooding chicks since 2012. In 2017, they successfully raised 3 chicks in this nest.
